Many people start wanting to make some income online. So what do they do? They search the Internet for ways to earn money online, browse forums, read blogs, sign up to the latest money making method, buy products that will help them make money and so on. All of this can actually distract people from actually earning money online.
Acting is the best way to earn some cash from home. If you find a legitimate way to make some income from home, act on it and try not to get too heavily involved with the latest way to earn some income or buy the next new product that promises to help you earn even more money then you are making.
It is easy to be distracted but that distraction is what can affect your potential earnings. Trust me I know, I have been there. I get easily distracted and when I get distracted it affects my earnings because I am not acting. For example, I was following the Newbie Workbook, a great ebook that can help anyone earn income from home with affiliate marketing, and it was a day by day thing, meaning each day I had to do a task.
I started out doing the tasks and eventually I started to make some money. I had a system that worked for me. I was on day 14 and had 16 more days to go. But then I got distracted by little things and browsed forums and even ventured into another stream of income. Guess what? My income dwindled. I went from making $400+ a month and the next month $300 and then the next month $200 and then sales come in every now and then.
If I had followed the plan and acted upon it until the very end, my income would be automated and I could be making $1000+ monthly and possibly more if I redid the process over with another niche. (I will talk about this later). I have learned from my lesson and now I stick to a legitimate plan and act on it.
The point is you have to act to earn money. Yes, you want to earn money but don't get easily distracted by all the money making methods and products. Find what works for you and build some good income for yourself. Gain some experience and once you get to a point that you can handle another income stream, go for it.

Great article, Meka.
I couldn't agree more, and even I sometimes fall into this trap. It's important to stay focused on the task at hand and not get distracted with the million other things going on around us. Forums are great for learning, but a lot of time can be wasted as well.
I think it's vital that people don't jump from one opportunity to the next without mastering the first. This is a sure sign of failure. Make money with one method before moving to the next.
You said it Alan. Glad you agree.
Hey Meka,
I normally do not comment (nor read much) on blogger blogs, but was impressed with a comment you made over at Kristi's place, so i cam to check you out...
I couldn't agree more either. Oh I am all for the learning process; I feel one should never stop learning.
That said though, there definitely is a time to put the books away and start to IMPLEMENT what you have already learned.
Oh yea, my very first foray into the online business world was forums...I know the danger for sure. lol
@Dennis. Thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate your comment. I think I have lost a lot of time frequenting forums. They are a great place to learn some valuable information but once you learn something, it's best to apply it that way you gain experience and can relate.
