The key to doing this is filling out a profile on these types of sites that are appealing to people looking for services and providing your service at a good price and quality.
Another way you can offer your writing services is through Internet marketing/Webmaster forums. Forums such as DigitalPoint forum and Warriorforum have special sections designed for those who want to offer and buy content. If you build a good reputation at these forums, follow the rules, offer your services at an affordable rate, and provide quality content including samples of your work, you can make a decent amount of money from writing for others. Lots of people look for content on various topics so there is definitely money to be earned going this route too.

You can also get paid to write posts on your own blog. I've had three such tasks with three of my blogs and I got paid $80. That's not bad for less than 1000 words. ;)
Thanks for sharing your experience Sire. That's a nice amount to make. I am a member of sponsored reviews and similar programs but I don't really know if I can get into sponsored posts or paid blogging.
